Genius Simulator Enters Demo — Comedy Roguelike Deckbuilder at Steam Next Fest

Genius Simulator — Genius Simulator is an absurd, comedy roguelike deckbuilder participating in the upcoming Steam Next Fest this October. Instead of just crunching numbers, you win by exploiting NPCs’ psychological blind spots and overthinking — the entire world misunderstands your random bluffs as pure genius.

What Is Genius Simulator?

Genius Simulator flips the deckbuilder formula on its head. In most card games, you build a strategy and execute it. Here, you stumble into situations, bluff wildly, and — somehow — the world rewards you for it. The NPCs around you are so eager to see genius where there is none that your most nonsensical plays become legendary moves.

It’s a roguelike, so every run is different: new cards, new NPCs, new opportunities to accidentally look brilliant. The comedy comes from the gap between what you intended and what the world thinks you intended — and the world is very easily impressed.
