Halloween: The Game’s First DLC Arrives October 27 — Two Michael Myers Skins and a Free Farm Map

Michael Myers in his white mask and dark coveralls with a knife in front of a suburban home at night — Halloween: The Game art for Illfonic's first DLC, arriving October 27 with two licensed Michael skins and the free Tower Farm map

Michael Myers is getting new license to stalk. Halloween: The Game’s first post-launch DLC arrives October 27, and developer Illfonic is marking the date with two new licensed Michael Myers skins, a free map for everyone, and a seasonal pile of new content.

Announced on October 5, the headline addition is a pair of officially licensed versions of the Boogeyman: Michael as he appears in Halloween 5: The Return of Michael Myers, and Michael from 2018’s Halloween. Each skin costs $10 — and the 2018 version’s mask design is being supervised by Academy Award winner Christopher Nelson, the effects artist who sculpted the killer’s mask for the recent Halloween, Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends trilogy. The licensing deal was struck alongside co-publisher Gun Interactive and partners Compass International Pictures, Further Front, Trancas International Films and Miramax.

The Tower Farm Map Is Free for Everyone

The update’s biggest gift costs nothing: the Tower Farm map, inspired by the farm setting of Halloween 5, will be free to all players on October 27. “Worn country roads meet at the center of a small, quaint farming community just outside of Haddonfield,” Illfonic’s description reads. “A lit filling station anchors the new map, providing Civilians a reference point as they scramble across wide roads and through cornfields.”

Farmhouses replace the game’s suburban homes, shifting the feel and flow of its 1v4 multiplayer matches: farm equipment, hay bales and overgrown brush turn every yard into hunting ground, while barns, sheds and houses give the four Civilians a chance to break line of sight and catch their breath. A harvest festival, a trailer park and pumpkin-filled gardens dress the map for the season — and the open roads mean hiding in roadside ditches is a matter of life and death.

Rounding out the October 27 drop: a DLC civilian pack adding two new playable survivors, Michelle and Eugene ($10), a Halloween costume pack with 14 outfits — one for each character, with color variants for each ($10), plus gameplay-related changes and bug fixes. Illfonic says more title updates are possible before October 27 rolls around.

Is $10 for a Mask Too Scary?

Not everyone is thrilled about the pricing — $10 for a single skin is steep, as Kotaku notes, even if Fortnite and other live games routinely charge $15 or more. And the Halloween 5 mask is a curious first choice: fans have criticized it for years for its longer, more defined face, which reads more “weird” than terrifying. Still, Halloween: The Game has settled into a solid asymmetrical horror outing that has gotten better with recent patches and balance changes — and a free farm map for everyone is the right kind of trick-or-treat.
