New Science Has You Combine Cards From the Stone Age to the Age of Intelligence — Free Demo Live

New Science key art — the ornate NEW SCIENCE title above a gray-bearded sage in astronomical robes holding a scroll, with Human, Discovery and Curiosity cards in the foreground and a background running from Stone Age caves through classical temples to a futuristic metropolis in Agapo Games' card-crafting discovery game

What if a crafting game ran on all of human history? New Science, from developer Agapo Games, is an open-ended discovery game about combining illustrated cards: start at the Stone Age, combine two or three cards at a time, and race to the Age of Intelligence. A free demo is live now, with the full game planned for Q1 2027.

16 Ages of Discovery

The Steam page pitches it as a world of discovery with Targets to follow through 16 Ages — or you can ignore the targets entirely and experiment freely with every card you find, building your collection and trading with other players to make discoveries nobody has found before. The community layer is the hook: the studio says players create around 500 new cards every day, and every card that gets discovered keeps its finder’s name.

Free to Play, No Download

New Science is free to play with no download required — it runs in the browser alongside Steam and mobile versions, and the demo is playable now ahead of the planned Q1 2027 full release. There’s a trailer on YouTube and a proper press kit for the curious.

New Science reached us through GamerMenu’s indie submissions program — the most complete submission of the week, with a pitch you can verify against the store page line by line.
