The ALGS returns with a new format, new teams, and a record prize pool for Apex esports.
Format Overhaul
Year 5 of the ALGS introduces a revamped format: three regional Pro Leagues feeding into two LAN Majors and the Championship. EA also added a ‘Match Point Plus’ system that rewards consistency while keeping the explosive Match Point finish.
Teams to Watch
- TSM: Always contenders, looking to reclaim their crown
- DarkZero: Champions of Year 4, dangerous as ever
- Alliance: The European powerhouses with aggressive playstyle
- Furia: Mechanical gods, finally finding consistency
The New Meta
With the recent weapon rotation and legend changes, the meta has shifted toward flexible compositions. Newcastle and Catalyst remain staples, while the buffed Lifeline is making a comeback in high-level play.
Championship Predictions
DarkZero and TSM are the clear favorites, but ALGS has a history of surprises. If a dark horse wins, it will likely be one of the rising South American or APAC teams.
