Dispatch is a year old — and it’s celebrating in style. AdHoc Studio’s choice-driven superhero workplace comedy launched on October 22, 2025, and has now sold five million copies. To mark the anniversary, the studio is rolling out a big free update for Deluxe Edition owners, announcing a mobile release, opening the merch goodie bag, and hosting a live concert.
Update 1.000.015 is live now on all platforms, and it adds two new playable game modes — both free for Deluxe Edition owners starting today.
Sixteen Hours of Commentary — and the Whole Game as Storyboards
Commentary Mode delivers over 16 hours of behind-the-scenes commentary across every episode, with two tracks to choose from in Settings: Cast or Crew. You’ll hear from Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, and more of the cast, plus the people who wrote, directed, and designed the game. Different choices unlock different commentary, so a replay can share new insights every time.
Storyboard Mode lets you play every episode, start to finish, as the original storyboard animatics — seeing how the scenes and characters were designed before a single frame was animated. The two modes are independent, but can run at the same time “if you really want to get into the guts of what made this game so great,” as Kotaku puts it.
Only have the standard edition? Upgrading to Deluxe costs $10.99 — currently 20% off on Steam and Xbox — and includes the two new modes plus the digital art book and all four digital comics.
Mobile in December, a Concert, and a Physical Edition
AdHoc is also taking Dispatch to phones: an Android and iOS version launches December 9, with the first four episodes free and the full version available for $20 — a natural fit for a narrative choice/management-sim you can play anywhere.
Then there’s the anniversary swag: an art book, clothing, posters, a physical edition of the digital comic — and Dispatch: Night Shift, a live concert scheduled for December 3, 2026 featuring artists from the game’s soundtrack, including, as Kotaku notes, “the musical stylings of… Fartbarf.” Email-list sign-ups open for the October 28 presale. A physical release of the game itself is planned for holiday 2026, including the new Storyboard and Cast & Crew Commentary modes.
