Nintendo is closing out October with a surprise showcase. The company has announced a new Indie World presentation airing today, October 28, at 7am PT / 10am ET / 2pm GMT — a brisk 15 minutes of “new announcements and updates on indie games coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch,” as the company’s own announcement puts it.
How to Watch
The showcase streams on Nintendo’s official YouTube channel, and as usual for these presentations, expect a rapid-fire format. Siliconera notes that Indie Worlds tend to be fairly packed — potentially 15 to 20 titles minimum — and the games featured tend to arrive fairly soon, so look for release windows covering the end of 2026 and the first quarter of 2027. Nintendo has dropped no hints about specific games, and Insider Gaming suggests shadow drops are a real possibility. Even by Indie World standards this one is short — about three minutes under what the March 2026 showing delivered — with the announcement itself arriving via the Nintendo Today app.
What Was in the Last One
The previous Indie World arrived all the way back in March — also about 15 minutes long — and showed off titles including Mixtape, Toem 2, Blue Prince, Rotwood, Moonlighter 2, Denshattack, Blighted, and Deadzone: Rogue. Several games from that showing have since slipped to 2027 (Blighted and Grave Seasons among them), so updates on delayed titles — or on long-awaited games like Witchbrook — would fit right into today’s show.
The Bigger Nintendo Picture
The showcase lands a week before Nintendo’s own marquee November release: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake arrives November 5 — a game expected to carve out its own space in a month that GTA 6, out November 19, is expected to dominate.
