Math Time Hits Steam on November 5 — a 45-Second 1v1 Math Duel

Math Time arrives on Steam on November 5, 2026 — a fast 1v1 math duel from indie developer Gameloptica, where both players get the same 15 questions and 45 seconds, and the most correct answers wins. On a tie, whoever reached their last correct answer first takes the match.

It plays like a speed quiz with stakes: three answer choices and no typing — click or press 1, 2 or 3 — and wrong answers trigger a short lock-out so blind guessing doesn’t pay. Questions adapt to your level, from addition and subtraction up to times tables, division, percentages and mixed operations. No opponent around? Race a math machine instead, from the Rusty Abacus to the Turbo Abacus X.

Four more ways to play: a Daily Challenge with one shared set of 15 questions and a global leaderboard, an endless Sudden Death mode that gets harder every five correct answers, Blitz and Marathon runs of 30 or 60 seconds, and a relaxed Practice mode. Solo modes never cost a match or touch your rating.

The retention loop is the usual live-service toolkit: rating points with global, weekly and friends leaderboards, daily and weekly quests that grant extra matches, day streaks with milestone rewards at 7, 14, 30 and 100 days, personal bests across the solo modes, and Steam achievements. You can add friends, challenge them directly, or add a rival right after a match.

Matchmaking is cross-platform between PC and Android — set a password in your profile and your account follows you across devices. Duels, leaderboards and the Daily Challenge need an internet connection; Practice, Sudden Death, Blitz and Marathon also work offline. The game supports English and Turkish, runs on Windows 10+ and SteamOS/Linux, and Gameloptica discloses that some visual assets (stickers and screen layouts) were made with AI tools.
