Massive Monster’s hit roguelike Cult of the Lamb is getting a new expansion: Woolhaven, announced at Gamescom 2025 for an early 2026 release.

The Woolhaven DLC introduces brand-new areas to explore, new enemies to dispatch, and presumably new cult members to recruit. The reveal trailer showed lush new environments that contrast with the dark, foreboding aesthetic of the base game — though knowing Cult of the Lamb, there’s something sinister lurking beneath the pastoral surface.
Building on a Phenomenon
Cult of the Lamb was one of 2022’s biggest indie hits, selling over 3.5 million copies and spawning a dedicated fanbase. The base-building roguelike formula — manage your cult by day, fight through dungeons by night — struck a chord that few indie games have matched.

Massive Monster has been steadily supporting Cult of the Lamb with free updates since launch. Woolhaven appears to be the biggest paid expansion yet, suggesting the studio has significant new content planned rather than just minor additions.
