A New Flavor of Tank Combat
World of Tanks: HEAT appears to be a more accessible, faster-paced entry in the WoT franchise. The “HEAT” name likely refers to both the ammunition type and the intensity of gameplay. With 10v10 battles and customizable tanks with unique abilities, it’s clearly targeting a more action-oriented audience than the methodical original.
Multiplatform Release
HEAT is coming to Steam, Steam Deck, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The Steam Deck support is particularly interesting — it suggests the game is designed for shorter sessions and on-the-go play, unlike the mainline World of Tanks which is very much a sit-at-your-desk experience.
Can It Find an Audience?
