Ninja Gaiden 4 is real, it’s coming October 21, and it’s being co-developed by Platinum Games and Team Ninja. That alone should be enough to get any action game fan’s heart racing.
A New Direction for the Series
The story trailer revealed at Gamescom shows a modern twist on the classic hack-and-slash formula. Platinum Games — the studio behind Bayonetta and Nier: Automata — brings their signature high-speed, adrenaline-fueled combat style to the Ninja Gaiden universe.
What to Expect
The trailer showcased lightning-fast swordplay, cinematic ultimate moves, and what appears to be a more open approach to level design compared to the linear stages of previous entries. Team Ninja’s expertise in weapon variety and enemy design combined with Platinum’s combat choreography could create something truly special.
Platforms
Ninja Gaiden 4 launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud, Xbox PC, and Steam. It’s a full multiplatform release — no exclusivity deals here.
October is going to be a stacked month for action fans, and Ninja Gaiden 4 might just be the sharpest blade in the bunch.
