Become the Monster
The most intriguing mechanic revealed is the ability to transform into a monster yourself. In a PvPvE setting, this means other players might be hunting you — or you might be the monster hunting them. It adds a layer of paranoia that could make every match uniquely tense.
FEAR 2 Vibes
The trailer had strong FEAR 2 energy — dark forests, supernatural anomalies, and a sense that something is always watching you from the shadows. The supernatural abilities on display suggest combat goes far beyond standard gunplay.
Coming Soon
Project Spectrum is described as “coming soon,” which could mean late 2025 or early 2026. The concept alone makes it one of the most interesting shooters in development — a tactical shooter crossed with psychological horror is a combination we haven’t seen done well since, well, FEAR.
