What Sleeps Above Is Out Now — Jack and the Beanstalk as a Horror Story

What Sleeps Above — Jack and the Beanstalk as a horror story from Strange Fable Games, cover art

What Sleeps Above — What Sleeps Above is Jack and the Beanstalk as a horror story. The giants can’t be killed: climb the stalk, steal what you need, and play them back to sleep on your father’s harp to save the family farm. Plays in the browser on phone or PC, in one 1 to 2 hour sitting, with four endings.

What Is What Sleeps Above?

What Sleeps Above takes the familiar fairy tale and turns it into survival horror. The giants above the clouds cannot be killed — fighting is not the answer. Instead, you climb the beanstalk, steal what your family needs, and when a giant stirs, you play your father’s harp to send it back to sleep. It’s a horror game built around rhythm and stealth rather than combat.

The whole thing plays in a single 1 to 2 hour sitting, in the browser on phone or PC, and branches into four different endings depending on how you handle the climb and what you choose to take.
